Bariatric Program Nurse Supervisor

A trusted facility in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex is seeking a Bariatric Program Nurse Supervisor to join their team!

The nurse leader with experience in management of a bariatric surgery program will find this to be an excellent opportunity for career growth.

This beloved 175+ bed short term acute care facility offers a range of medical services, including inpatient and outpatient surgery, a 24/7 emergency department, an intensive care unit, wound care services, advanced cardiovascular services, as well as radiology and diagnostic imaging services.

This hospital boasts a talented team of bariatric surgeons, medical staff, nurses, and ancillary staff that are well-prepared to assist patients on their weight-loss surgery journey.

Additionally, this facility is accredited by The Joint Commission, and has achieved accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery.

The Bariatric Program Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of the bariatric surgery program, assisting patients with preparation for surgery, meeting weight loss goals, coordinating with registered dieticians, managing and scheduling surgeries, as well as following up with patients post-operatively.

The Nurse Supervisor of the Bariatric Program will have the wonderful opportunity to be a team leader, providing excellent communication skills, working in a collaborative environment, and motivating patients and their families along the weight loss journey.

The Bariatric Program Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for coordination of insurance, ensuring verification and approval for surgery, as well as managing billing for clinic patients.

This role will collaborate with and report directly to the Director of Marketing, as well as the Manager of Bariatric Services, in order to promote the program and provide timely communication with patients regarding the service line.

The Bariatric Program Nurse Supervisor must contain experience with caring for bariatric patients, and/or caring for patients undergoing bariatric surgery.

This role is BSN-required and CBN-preferred (Certified Bariatric Nurse).
