Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Entry Specialist I in Plano, TX. Summary: Our Underwriting team is looking for a Data Entry Specialist contractor with a high attention to detail to join the team. You will be responsible for receiving, reviewing, and evaluating Loan Forgiveness Applications for Paycheck Protection Program customers from an operational, fraud, and risk perspective. You will also be expected to closely partner across the risk, compliance, and operations teams to drive successful growth. Responsibilities:

  • Application Intake: Your main focus will be to work across our different platforms to add documents sent in by customers to one centralized location; You will work cross-functionally to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met and applications are tracked error-free
  • Evaluating Applications: Your main focus will be to analyze customer’s Forgiveness applications including customer-provided documents; Using our proprietary models you will analyze information provided in applications and other third party data to determine whether to approve or decline applications
  • Shape the team, set project goals, and plan for efficient underwriting work flow as the business scales
  • With a compliance first attitude, identify issues, improve quality, and mitigate risk

Job Requirements:


  • 1+ years of experience doing data entry work
  • Empathy and understanding of the small business owner and their finances
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and quickly changing environment
  • Strong communication skills across internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to constantly focus on the process and to develop and implement operational changes in order to improve efficiency and limit risk throughout the underwriting process
