Purchasing / Inventory Control Coordinator

Quality Custom Distribution

This is a Full-time position in Frisco, TX posted May 3, 2021.


Quality Custom Distribution Headquarters, located across from The Star in Frisco, TX, is looking for strong purchasing & inventory control coordinators for our team.

You will manage day-to-day product buying, inventory control methods and inventory levels to ensure that GSF and QCD objectives for customer satisfaction are met.

Food or beverage industry experience preferred.


Daily engagement with department activities; which include monitoring and managing inventory levels at assigned distribution centers, daily reporting to customers and management regarding potential gap in supply and plans to mitigate, as well as participation in projects and process improvement activities.

Work closely with key personnel at assigned distribution centers to assure daily receiving and inventory control methods are maintained.

Creating purchase orders based on demand, vendor lead time, transit time and required safety stock levels.

Direct and capture cycle counts, inventory discrepancies and PO variances to assure accurate system inventory at all times.

Daily interaction with 3PL to track and trace inbound loads to assure inventory levels are maintained.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:


AA degree in materials/logistics management, business math, business administration or communications from an accredited vocational, technical, or community college


3 to 6 years of relevant work experience in inventory management, purchasing, transportation, logistics, shipping and receiving in an automated environment.
