VP of Donor Development

POSITION TITLE: Vice President of Development



TYPE: Full time

REPORTS TO: President


The Vice President of Development is part of the Executive team and leads strategic decisions affecting the fundraising program.

This position is responsible for developing a network of contacts and principal donor prospects in order to convert them into donors, as well as maintaining a caseload of major Donors in order to assist Human Coalition achieve its mission of existing to rescue children and serve families across America.

Human Coalition is an innovative, energetic, compassion-driven non-profit organization with the purpose to end abortion.


· Actively work with senior staff to develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy to include major gifts, corporate, foundation, online giving and events
Develop and implement strategy focused on donor recognition and retention; recognizing, celebrating, and communicating with donors the importance and impact of their gifts Ensure business intelligence from across the organization is smoothly integrated into positioning, capture and bid process Actively take a leadership role in developing relationships with specific clients and partners Monitor all donor information and provide statistical analysis Engage in research of funding sources and trends Monitor and report on the progress of development programs Manage fundraising caseload Actively drive mega donor prospecting, relationship cultivation, strategizing and coordination of solicitations Develop an annual plan and strategy for the mega donor program, monitoring and reporting regularly on the progress of the program Develop and maintain key long-term relationships with Donors and prospects

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree required Minimum (7) years sales, fundraising or business development experience Demonstrated experience cultivating donor relationships Proficiency in Salesforce, Word and Excel


This role is a member of the Executive Team with direct reports and oversees private funding
