Job Description

General Summary!

This position is part of the Accounts Payable leadership team that drives the strategic and tactical direction for the North America Shared Services Accounts Payable function, including the supervision of a high performing service delivery team and oversight of a 3rd party AP Provider.

The successful candidate will have primary responsibilities around supplier master data setup/integrity, vendor cash applications, banking, purchasing cards and adhoc projects, and must be able to support a multi-billion dollar AP function.

This position routinely interacts with Senior leadership in functions ranging from Control, Tax, Treasury, Operations, and external leaders at key outsource partners.

Major Task Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Facilitate accurate and timely creation of vendor records and ongoing management of vendor data and administration Manage a high performing service delivery team of four direct reports, including hiring, coaching and development; Oversee a 3rd party provider ensure timely, accurate and reliable vendor payments.

Lead and execute actions for payment fraud prevention, working with banks and 3rd party provider to increase controls and monitoring of potential P&L risk Purchasing Card administration and compliance, including detection and prevention of misuse/fraud by cardholders IRS tax compliance for the 1099 and 1042 tax filings and foreign vendor withholding Provide leadership and vision to the North American business by developing both short and long term business plans that align with Company objectives Provide management with accurate and timely information to influence and support strategic and tactical decision making at all levels Anticipate and respond to business partner needs in a manner that provides value-added analysis and recommendations Assist with various financial transformation projects/indicatives, including data gathering, trending, modeling, planning and reporting Create, track, report and manage performance metrics, including resolution of any pending/recurring action items Manage and support the AP financial close process, including period and quarterly reporting of divisional payment performance Manage SOX controls to ensure full compliance with internal, external, legal and regulatory standards and requirements.

Ensure effective control procedures are in place and fully functioning.

Work with both internal and external audit requests
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Payable management experience Proficiency with Oracle Financials or SAP; proficiency with MS Office
Preferred Job Qualifications:
CPA/MBA Experience managing an offshore team SOX compliance 5+ years of people management experience; strong leadership and communication skills Experience with Shared Services model Negotiation, influencing and vendor relations experience IRS tax compliance for the 1099 and 1042 tax filings and foreign vendor withholding Extensive knowledge of the payable management process, specifically around supplier master data, invoice processing/payments and customer service/resolution ERP implementation experience with OTC or P2P Strong consultative, analytical, researching and problem-solving skills Able to effectively work with cross-functional teams and other functions across the company Sense of urgency and ability to multi-task and committed to achieving deadlines
