The Manager is responsible for the purchasing and supply management activities for all categories and sub categories.

They will work closely with key stakeholders in both Corporate and Division organizations to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans.

They will nurture stakeholder relationships by serving as a business partner, helping identify critical business requirements and providing sourcing and procurement services that meet expectations.

The manager will drive reduced total cost of ownership by optimizing tier 2 and tier 3 supply chains and leverage extensive market and supplier knowledge.

They will proactively identify areas of opportunity for new business opportunities, process improvement, and cost efficiencies.

They will provide insight to the business unit on how to best develop and leverage supplier capabilities for the organization(s).nn nn WHAT YOU’LL DO nn nnDevelop business unit sourcing strategy and translate strategy to programs and projects.nn nnInfluence and partner with business leaders (Sr.

Manager, Director, DVP) to manage and evolve strategy based on market dynamics.nn nnDrive Total Cost of Ownership reductions through analytics.

Clearly define supplier taxonomy and manage accordingly.nn nnCoordinate across functions and business units to share best practices and adherence to corporate guidelines.nn nnAdvise business unit(s) about similar strategies employed by other healthcare companies.

Lead initiatives that span virtual teams across the world and cross cultures.nn nnClosely collaborate with adjacent business departments to ensure adequate and timely delivery of agreed services, in line with agreed service levels.nn nnEnsure contract terms are aligned with our business requirements.nn nnBuild and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.

Manage ongoing Supplier relationships.nn nnFoster a collaborative environment among stakeholders.

Build and maintain strong relationships across various functions.nn nnEnsure optimal balance between value for money and cost savings is achieved, while ensuring quality and excellent customer service.nn nnMonitor market dynamics for category across regions.

Continually look for opportunities for cost reductions and cost avoidance.nn nnResponsible for people leadership.

Recruit, mentor, train and develop talent.

Responsible for overall morale of team and promotes cohesive attitude.nn nn EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING nn nn Required nn nnBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.nn nn3-5 years of deep Category/Commodity Management experience.nn nn3-5 years of Contract experiencenn nnGood organizational skills, including program/project management governance.nn nnStrong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence, and networking skills.nn nnExperience with Supplier management.

Ability to develop actionable implementation plans.nn nnRelevant business process knowledge, as related to Procurement and Category Management.

Extensive knowledge of category technologies and products.nn nnStrong influence and negotiating skills.nn nnExperience leading teams
