Position SummaryThe Senior Manager, Logistics Home Delivery is a key operational leadership position for developing, engineering, and supporting Samsung’s Home Delivery operation.

You will be required to work within logistics operations to support new business as it develops.

You will be responsible for setting up, developing and maintaining Samsung’s Home Delivery process in accordance of corporate direction, which is a critical subject for the business of Home Appliances and other Consumer Electronics.

You will be expected to develop policy, vision, and strategy to meet the ever-changing needs of the market and customer demand.

In addition, the leader must be constantly seeking new opportunities through creativity and innovation.Role and Responsibilities* Lead Samsung’s home delivery business in every aspect of strategy and operation* Develop and execute the strategic vision for Samsung’s home delivery operation in accordance with overall company goals.* Lead and direct the activities of the home delivery teams of new business development, vendor/claim management and training and development.* Train, mentor, and focus the teams on results
– update the latest technology, and ensure each team is connected properly with the SCM, 3PL, and customers* Business Development: Works to identify best in class solutions for home delivery operational excellence, and to increase customer satisfaction* LSP Management: Communicates with 3PL and carriers to direct and manage strategic partnership, as well as evaluate and report performances* Training Development: Identify training and development needs for Samsung’s high quality delivery/installation through task analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers of related departments.* Claim Management: Oversees claim status and seeks to minimize defects in operation, while maximizing customer satisfaction.* Transportation related project, process innovation activity with industry market trend analysis.* Other duties as assigned Accountabilities/Performance Standards (How will duties be measured):* Daily status/progress reviews; weekly reports to the President; quarterly strategic planning and operational presentations* Weekly Achievement.

Monthly target versus actual in related KPIs.* Monthly customer satisfaction scorecard and effectiveness in training execution.Skills and Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

Master’s degree preferred.* 15+ years of experience in a fast paced, high volume logistics environment with prior home delivery experience.* Advanced supply chain management skills; ability to think, lead, and execute in a complex, and constantly changing environment* 5+ years of experience in direct management of multiple teams is a must* High level system and process automation knowledge; advanced last mile logistics operations.* Familiarity and experience with: end customer requirements, transportation and route planning, U.S.

municipality regulations on installation* The ability to prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues and activities* Capabilities to manage projects of large scope, lead ad-hoc teams, and supervise staff level employees* Ability to benchmark and research topics related to operational best practices, then succinctly summarize and present findings to executive management* High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and database software such as SAP is required* Experience working with 3PLs* Must have prior home delivery experience (Large Appliance/CE product preferred)* The ability to travel within the United States is essential#LI-BB1* Please visit Samsung membership to see Privacy Policy, which defaults according to your location.
